From 30th of August to 2nd of September the ETU European Youth Triathlon Championship & Festival 2018, at Loutraki

ETU EUROPEAN YOUTH TRIATHLON CHAMPIONSHIP & FESTIVAL 2018
Loutraki 30.08 – 02.09.2018

Hellenic Triathlon Federation (H.T.F.), European Triathlon Union (ETU) and the Municipality of Loutraki – Perahora – Agioi Theodoroi are organizing ETU EUROPEAN YOUTH TRIATHLON CHAMPIONSHIP & FESTIVAL 2018, in Loutraki, from 30th of August until 2nd of September. The event is organized under the auspices of International Triathlon Union (ITU) and the Peloponnese Region. 

The racing action will remain rich for all (4) days of the event. In particular, the Semifinals of Youth Men and Women will take place at the 30th of August. The first athletes will participate at the Final A at Saturday, and the first of the field will participate at Final B, that is going to take place at Saturday, too. Also, there will be an open-for-all Aquathlon race at Friday. At Saturday, besides the finals, there will take place and the Greek National Triathlon Championship of Elite Men/ Women and Junior Men/Women and the race “Triathlon1” for the Age Groupers. The last day of the festival, there will take place the Greek National Mixed Relays Championship, and also the European Youth Mixed Relay Championship.

This event is organized for the first time in Greece, giving the chance at young athletes, between 15 and 17 year old (born between 2001 and 2003), to take part in a high competition and high quality race, as only the technical of H.T.F and the ITU’s officials can ensure. Every European Country can be represented by 2 athletes maximum at the Youth Men race and by 2 at Youth Women race. For Greece, these athletes were selected based on the results of the Selection Race that took place in Nafplio, at 17th of June 2018 and they will be announced the next days by H.T.F..

However, the ETU European Youth Triathlon Championship & Festival is also a great way to highlight the cultural heritage and the beauties of Greece. Along with the races, there will be organized excursions for the participants of the festival and their escorts at archeological monuments of Athens and the surrounding areas of Loutraki, like Nemea, Isthmia, Heraion, and other places of the rich history and civilization of Greece. 

The feature of European Triathlon will be in Loutraki 30/08 – 02/09! Take part at the party! There are races for everyone!
