On Saturday February 2, 2019, we have the honor to host at the Alexandrio Congress Center in Loutraki the theatrical play "The Books of Angel Kourtian", a performance - a testimony to the Armenian Genocide (1915) and the Asia Minor Catastrophe (1922) by Angel Curtian.
This is a true story about the events that marked the life of the writer. Through her eyes we see the history of the Armenian people and the Hellenism of Asia Minor. As she lived it herself. As a young child experienced them. As he wrote later, in the pupils' notebooks of her grandchildren ...
1915. Genocide of the Armenians. Years later, Angel Kourtian, living in Greece, tells her the journey of persecution of her family and her entire nation. The mana-dummy. The two sisters. The first happy years. And then they experience the consequences of the Armenian extermination order. They are eyewitnesses of the Asia Minor Disaster. A trip from Prousa to Smyrna ... And from there to Crete and Kokkinia. War and refuge are recorded through the eyes of a child, little Angel.
