The world's annual athletic volleyball athletics event, the LoutrakiGlobalVolleyball Cup, returned for another year, bringing veteran champions of the 9-country championship!

From 23 to 26 August 2018, Loutraki hosted 12 teams from 9 countries and more than 180 athletes and escorts.

The organizer of the Loutraki Global Volleyball Cup was the SPORTCAMP Sports Training Center, co-organized by the Municipality of Loutraki, Perachora, Aghioi Theodoroi and the support of AEDIK. and the Tourist Organization of Loutraki.

This is an event that brought together volleyball athletes who have been distinguished both collectively and nationally, having participated in leading sports clubs and national teams in their own countries, many of whom have developed long-term relationships and friendships as coaches or rivals in parquet of the big, official volleyball events in the world!

In 2018 the 12 teams from 9 countries, Norway, Turkey, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Russia, Israel, Lithuania and Finland competed in 3 age categories - Men 45+, Men 60+ and Women 45+.

On Sunday, September 30, 2018, AEDIK will discontinue ship traffic in the Corinth Canal to give more than 300 entrants, as this year's number is expected to surpass any previous record.

All of the Upper Snakes will have the unique opportunity to paddle along the 6,343 meters of our country's historic canal, which has recently been declared Europe's largest channel.

A struggle so special not only for its high level of competition but also for the feelings that are born to every participant who roams through the Canal next to the ancient Dilocco and among the imposing 80m high walls connecting our History and Sport .

This particular fight, as expected, has attracted the interest of the international SUP scene, called "The World's Straighttest SUP Race". Many participants are traveling from different European countries for this unique experience.

Viewers have the chance to watch the exciting race from above, over the many bridges along the Canal.

The European Federation of Triathlon (ETU), the Municipality of Loutraki - Perachoras - Theodoron and the Hellenic Federation of Triathlon (EOTR) organize in ET LUSTAKI the ETU EUROPEAN YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIP & FESTIVAL 2018, from August 29 to September 2, under the auspices of the International Triathic Federation (ITU), the Region of Peloponnese , the Ministry of Tourism and the Municipality of Loutraki-Perachora-Agioi Theodoroi, and has also been included in the program "Mythical Peloponnese".

For the European Youth Triad Festival, a total of 180 Elite Youth athletes from 40 different European countries will be hosted on Thursday, 30/8. Those of them who take the first places will participate in the final to be held on Saturday 1/9. On Sunday 2/9, the Triathlon Mixed Relay will be held, with 25 countries being represented by 1 group of two boys and two girls each. Please note that Greece will be represented in all events with a total of 6 athletes, 4 boys and 2 girls, as well as a mixed relay team

However, alongside the European Youth Triathlon Festival, Loutraki TR1ATHLON 2018 will also be held. This event, which is now an institution for both the triathlete and the local community, will host 3 key events. Specifically, on Friday August 31, the Open Day Aquathlon (swimming + running) will be held for everyone. On Saturday 1 September, the Loutraki TR1ATHLON Age Group and Elite Men-women of EOT Triathllo will be held in 2018 for the Men's and Women's Class. Finally, on Sunday 2 September, the Triathlon Mixed Relay 2018 will be held, which will have Clubs Mixed Relay and Teams Mixed Relay (independent teams with athletes-sportsmen, groups, schools, companies etc) .

The event invites all sports fans to come and participate in the Triathlon Festival either directly, by participating in one of the events, or indirectly, following the efforts of Elite athletes but also athletes.

We are very sorry to announce that the Opus 2018 International Classical Music Festival and the concert scheduled for Thursday August 9 are postponed.

One of the main solists who participated in the International Classical Music Festival under the Loutraki Festival, Dimitri Maslennikov, lost all his travel documents which were stolen at the airport!

The procedures for issuing a new passport are time-consuming and therefore can not be attended by the Festival.

Considering it very important, both the seminars and the performance to be performed seamlessly and at the level we initially promised, the International Classical Music Festival will be transferred to a new date in September, for which you will soon be informed!

The much-talked nightmarish comedy, the work-challenge LEBENSRAUM (LIVE AREA) by Thanasis Triariides, which was successfully presented in the winter of 2016-17 at Faust Theater in Athens, directed by Pigi Dimitrakopoulou at the Loutraki Festival.

It is a work-experiment that abolishes the boundaries between comedy and thriller, truth and lie, actors and the public, innocence and guilt. The work is based on the Nazi expansive theory of the Living Space (Lebensraum) and transcribes it nightly to today.

Two men meet on stage of a theater. One is the Operator of Experiment, the other is offered to become a test animal for a fee. Everything seems almost funny, until at some point things are "crooked" and Experimental is confronted with his ethics. How much is negotiable? And how can viewers remain "viewers"?

"Being Symvouti" in her project, Pigi Dimitrakopoulou has the actors Panos Zournazidis and Sifis Polyzopides in the two roles of the Operator and the Recipient of the nightmarish experiment.
